Sgt. Dustin Adkins of Finger, Tenn., was a dental assistant, but was also a fully trained Special Forces soldier who joined the military in 2003 shortly after his first child was born wanting a better life for his family. He found he loved the Army and wanted to go to Officer Training School to make this a career. Loved the job. He especially loved parachuting from airplanes. He attended Chester County schools where he was an above average student, through his junior year in high school before completing his senior year home schooling through Gateway Christian. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee and grew up in Henderson. He was 22.
