MRS. BLYTON PASSES TO THE BEYOND
Palouse Woman Succumbs Following Operation At Moscow Hospital
It was with deep regret that the word was received here Monday noon of the death of Mrs. Cornelia Blyton, wife of Seymour Blyton, which occurred at the Gritman hospital at Moscow about 10 o'clock Monday, resulting from an operation performed just a week previous. For several days after the operation every symptom was favorable to a speedy recovery, but complications set in Sunday, and death resulted in spite of all that the physicians could do.
Mrs. Blyton was 62 years old and married to Mr. Blyton two years ago. She was a most estimable woman, her kindly disposition, and desire to do for others, having won her scores of friends. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church, the Rev. Edward Baker conducting the services.
Mrs. Blyton was a member of the Rebekah lodge, and the members of that organization, as well as the members of the Redmen lodge, of which Mr. Blyton is a charter member, attended the services in a body, the beautiful ritualistic service of the Rebekah's being read at the grave.
The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings were beautiful and numerous.
Mrs. Blyton leaves, in addition to her husband, one son, a daughter and a sister.
