Raymond Hutchinson "Ray" Baker was born on New Year's Eve of 1900 in Clayton, New Mexico, to Eugene Harrison Baker and Annie Statira McGary. He served as a construction mechanic in the US Navy during World War II. While stationed at a battalion in Australia, Raymond met Imelda Knight. They were married on 24 June 1947 in El Paso, Texas. Their daughters were Imelda Ann and Vibella Baker. Ray Baker died, 22 June 1980, aged 79, in Eastland County, Texas, and was buried at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
