Dora Eliza (Freeman) Adams 1877-1971
Dora Eliza Adams was born May 5, 1877 near Vassar, Michigan, to George William Freeman and Julia Ann (Lloyd) Freeman.
She married William W. Everett in 1895 and they had two children; Burnice Mae (Everett) Michael and Bryan George Everett.
It is unknown what happen to Dora's husband, William Everett, but she married a second time on December 19, 1904 to Thomas Adams in Oklahoma, and the couple came to Joseph in 1913. They had two daughters, Mary Juliet (Adams) Moore and Edna May Adams, who died in infancy.
In 1950 Mrs. Adams moved to Milton-Freewater to be near her daughter, and in 1963 she moved to Portland.
She was a member of Integrity Rebekah Lodge No. 175 of Milton-Freewater and of the Methodist Church.
Dora passed away on Saturday, April 17, 1971 at the Rebekah Home in Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services were held the following Tuesday, April 21, 1971, at the Munsell-Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Milton-Freewater. Ritualistic services were by Integrity Rebekah Lodge No. 175, and graveside services were held at the Prairie Creek cemetery outside of Joseph, Oregon that same day.
