Ima was a lifelong resident of Sullivan where she was employed at the International Shoe Company for several years. In 1989 she moved to Florida where she made her home with her daughter.
She professed her faith in Christ, was baptized and a faithful and devoted member of the First Assembly of God Church of Sullivan.
She was also a member of the Town and County Club.
On August 22, 1925, she was united in marriage to Jake Cain who preceded her in death on June 22, 1979.
Surviving her are a daughter, Dorsalee Downs, of Sarasota, FL; a son Curtis Cain and wife, Crystal, of Denver, Co; a daughter-in-law, Edna Cain of Washington, MO; a sister Gertrude Chafin of Longview, TX; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Besides those previously mentioned she was preceded in death by two sons, Wensel and Carl Cain, and four brothers, Leonard, Alfred, Homer, and Earl Hebbeler.
A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend, she will be missed and lovingly remembered.
Funeral services were held at 10 am, Thursday, March 19,1992 from the First Assembly of God Church in Sullivan with Pastor Paul Leasor, officiating. Interment in the Crow Cemetery, Sullivan, MO.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hassebroek Memorial Chapel, Sullivan, MO.
