Physician. One of 11 children born to immigrant parents Antonio and Jennie (Zanna) D'Angelo, he graduated from Trinity College and received his medical degree from the University of Rome. As he and his brother, Anthony were completing their medical training, America entered World War II. Both of the D'Angelo brothers were detained by the Facist government until Italy surrendered to Allied forces in September 1943. For his years of service to the community, he was awarded the 1970 UNICO Gold Medal of Honor.

Cause of death: Complications from Parkinson's Disease.
