Wayne, a longtime Huntsville resident, passed away after a valiant battle from a severe stroke two years prior to his death. Wayne was a graduate of Virginia Tech in 1961. He was a an aerospace engineer for the Boeing Company in Seattle. He transferred with Boeing to Huntsville in 1964. He also worked for Northrop and retired after working for over 20 years with Lockheed Martin. He also worked at the NASA/MSFC Wind Tunnel on Redstone Arsenal. He was presented several awards for his accomplishments with the Apollo program and various other aerospace projects that he was a part of over the years. He was member of Epworth United Methodist Church for over 30 years. He taught Sunday school classes for about 20 years. Wayne was survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Elizabeth; three sons, Wayne Boyle Jr., Christian Boyle, James Boyle and wife, Amy; mother, Lois Clark; sister, Sandra Boyle; father, Tommy Boyle, step-brother, Thomas Boyle; step-sister, Kathleen Tu'ozzolo; and two beloved grandsons, Cameron William Boyle and Jack Woodson Boyle.
