Catherine M. Alderson, 85, of Punta Gorda died January 9, 1997. She was born Aug. 18, 1911 in Millvale, Pa., and came to Punta Gorda 28 years ago from [Charleroi] Pittsburgh. She is survived by a friend, Fred Simpson of Punta Gorda. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today in Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. Kaya_Punger/Royal Palm Funeral Homes, Punta Gorda Chapel, in charge.
