Birth: Feb. 15, 1888
Warren County
New Jersey, USA
Death: Feb. 21, 1975
Warren County
New Jersey, USA

According to his draft card, Mitchel was born in the Jackson Valley area of Warren County. A dilligent worker his entire life, he worked variously as a farm hand and miller's assistant at Penwell, as a tie gang member at Port Murray for the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, and as a laborer and driver for both the Washington Coal & Supply Company and the Home Supply Company. In "retirement", he became a caretaker at a farm near Asbury, N.J. -- though he was only supposed to feed the livestock (Sicilian donkeys), he mowed lawns, mended fence, and took care of any other handiwork that needed to be done, indicative of his life of hard work and dedication to his employers. He was gainfully employed well into his eighties.

Aged 87 years, 6 days.
