Rev. G.L. Chatham's first wife was Mary J. Bagwell. They had Naomi Talitha.
He has a sister buried at Ebenezer also: Amanda Chatham Pilgrim (married T.A. Pilgrim in 1879)
His Father, John W. Chatham was the son of Chaffin Chatham
and his first wife Mary Payne. John W. Chatham served in the south during the Civil War in Co. E of Cobb's Legion.
He died just before 1870 in Milton Co.,GA.
Chaffin, G.L. Chatham's Grandfather was the son of Epps
Chatham and wife Sarah Chaffin.
Epps served in the American Revolution and was from VA. By
1795 he lived in Wilkes Co., GA and by 1805 was found in
Franklin Co., GA. His Widow, Sarah received land in Franklin Co., GA as a widow of a Revolutionary War Solider.
He was licensed to preach in 1881 and Ordained into the Ministry in 1885. He had belonged at Chattahoochee, Wileo and Crabapple Baptist Churches.
Some of the churches he pastored were Willeo, Holly Springs and Cross Plains Baptist Churches.
