Son of Madison and Elizabeth Ann 'Barnes' Bradshaw. Samuel married Mary Ellen Moore on October 23, 1889 in Macon Co., IL. Samuel and Mary had 12 children: Jessie Belle, Elsie Goldie, Clarence Darrow, William Gerald, Ruby Fay, Raymond Oren, Alvin Bryon, Oletha Alice, Roy Herman, Cletus Emerson, Ada Marie and Paul Wilson.

S.W. BRADSHAW, RETIRED EXCAVATOR, DIES TODAY—Samuel Wilson Bradshaw, 92, of the Wakefield Sanitarium, died at 12:40 a.m. today in the Decatur and Macon County Hospital. He had been seriously ill for one week.
A retired excavation contractor, he had been a resident of Decatur most of his life and was a member of Foursquare Church.
He was born Dec. 4, 1861 in Harristown. He married Mary Ellen Moore, who died Oct. 6, 1944. He leaves six sons, William G., Raymond O., Cletus E., Paul W. and Roy H., all of Decatur, and Alvin B. of Montana; four daughters, Mrs. Jessie DeWeese and Mrs. Ruby Holbrook[Halbrook], both of Washington state and Mrs. Elsie Halenbeck[Hollonbeck] and Mrs. Ada M. Sheumaker, both of Decatur; 38 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded him in death.
The body was taken to the J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
