BEACHUM RITES SET SATURDAY
Funeral services for D. Horace R. Beachum, 81, of 4229 University Drive, a
retired Dallas dentist, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Lamar & Smith
Funeral Chaped. Burial will be in the Oak Cliff Cemetery.
A native of Iuka, Miss., Dr. Beachum had lived in Dallas 68 years. He died
here Wednesday.
He was graduated from the old State Dental College, now Baylor University
College fo Dentistry, in 1910.
Beachum was a member of the Oak Cliff Methodist Church, the Dallas Rotary
Club, American Dental Association, American Full Denture Society, Southwest
Prosthetic Society and a fellow of the American College of Dentist.
He was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Xi Psi Phi fraterities. He
retired in 1969.
Survivors: Wife, two sons, Horace R. Beachum of Dallas and William B.
Beachum of Mission; a brother, John H. Beachum of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. R.
L. Page of Tyler, Mrs. C. J. Siemoneit of Grapevine and Mrs. J. T. Whittlesey of
Dallas; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. (Dallas Morning News October
