DEATH OF OLD SOLDIER
Joseph Tate, Well Known Farmer of Ripley township, Passes Away. Joseph Tate, a well know farmer of Ripley township, who resided on the farm owned by Dan W. Roundtree, of this city, which is located half way between Yountsville and Alamo, on the Crawfordsville and Alamo free gravel road, died this morning at ten of dropsy. He had been ill for several weeks and his death had been expected for the past few days. He was a soldier of the late civil war of the 150th Ind Regt., and a member of McPherson Post, GA.R., this city. He was seventy years old and leaves a wife and several children.
