Visitation 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby; service 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005 at Pyatt Harrawood Funeral Home with interment at Galum Cemetery, both in Pinckneyville, IL. Survivors: wife, Shirley of Derby; son, Bruce and his wife, Carol of Cary, NC, son, Brian and his wife, Laura of Olathe; daughter, Brenda Fleming and her husband, Randy of Haysville; brother, Norman and his wife, Phyllis of Swansea, IL; sister-in-law, Sharon Desborough of Carbondale, IL; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brady, Gabrielle Armstrong and Daniele Fleming; stepgrandson, Benjamin Fleming and four stepgreat-granddaughters of Willow Springs, NC. Memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2210 Millbrook, Rd., Suite 109, Raleigh, NC 27604 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
