Charles Irving Cameron, son of the late James Cameron, Sr. and Josephine D. Cameron was born on December 22, 1929 in Wake County. God called him home on Sunday, July 28, 2002 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Heaven's angels are making a joyful noise at the arrival of their newest member.
Charles was educated in Raleigh Public System graduating fromn Washington High School. He contained his eduction and received a Bachelors degree from Saint Augustine's College, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Brother Cameron enlisted with the armed services and served in the United States Marine corp. and the United States Air Force receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1959. Brother Cameron was a momber of Manly Street Christian Church until he moved to Richmond, Virginia. While in Virginia, he became affliated with the Union Baptist Church as a Watch Care Member where he served on the Usher Board. Upon his return to Raleigh,he reunited with Macedonia United Church of Christ, formerly, Manly Street Christian Church. he spent much of his leisure time fishing, sewing, wood working and sharing many special moments with his nieces and nephews.
Charles leaves to remember and cherish his life: one sister, Alethia C. Fikes; four brothers, George Cameron, Alphonsa Cameron, Walter Cameron, Sr., and Louis Cameron: one sister-in-law, Helen G. Cameron; and a host of neices, nephews, relatives and friends.
