Kevin Virgil Baril, age 55, of Crookston, MN, died very unexpectedly of natural causes at his residence early Saturday evening, October 5, 2013.

Kevin was born at Crookston on December 31, 1957, together with his twin brother, Kim, to parents Virgil and Beatrice (Brule) Baril. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith, attended Crookston public schools and graduated from Central High School. On June 24, 1978 Kevin was united in marriage to Mary Beth Dahle at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston. A daughter and two sons were born to their union: Shannon, Shane, and Jared. Though their marriage eventually ended, Kevin and Mary Beth remained friends and were always in contact with one another. Kevin drove a semi for several years for the E.W. Wylie Company, and later worked for area farmers. For the past few years, and to the present time, he had been doing maintenance work and janitorial services at the Crookston Eagles Aerie.

Kevin was very close to his twin brother, Kim, as twins often are, and the two enjoyed many years hunting and fishing together. Sadly, those times came to an end with Kim's passing on January 17, 2012. Kevin treasured time spent with his kids, siblings, and friends, and could always manage to keep his end of a conversation going. One of his favorite pastimes was listening to music of all kinds, and he always had his radio or stereo on. He will be dearly missed by all who were part of his life.

Kevin is survived by his 3 children: Shannon Baril of Brainerd, MN, Shane Baril (Leah Lagergren) of Alexandria, MN, and Jared Baril of Willmar, MN; his former wife and now good friend, Mary Beth Eigenheer of Willmar: 6 brothers and sisters: Tammy (William) Gorman of Green Valley, AZ, Gregg Baril of Crookston, MN, Scott Baril of Maple Lake near Mentor, MN, Michelle (Bruce) Casper of Roundup, MT, and Brigitte (Ron) Schutte and Cheryl Pederson of Faribault, MN; as well as, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. In addition to brother, Kim, Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Mark. May God bless Kevin's memory.

Kevin's life will be celebrated at a Memorial Service to be held at 2:00pm, Friday, October 11, 2013, at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston with Msgr. Roger Grundhaus, presiding. There will be visitation with the family for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at Gentilly, MN.
