Helen Jean Allman, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the home of her daughter.

She was born August 3, 1934 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Arnett and Frona Friend Haymond.

On September 19, 1951 she married David R. Allman who survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Lesa Crites and Vaughn Wolfe of Buckhannon; one grandson, Ricky Steven Crites, Jr. and wife Katrina of Buckhannon and one brother, Ralph Haymond of Fairmont, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Joe and Harold Ross Haymond; two sisters, Kathryn Higginbotham and Arletta Mick and sister-in-law, Evelyn Haymond.

Mrs. Allman was a clerk at WVWC bookstore.

She was a long time member of The Women of the Moose and The Women’s Aux. at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
