He was born May 11, 1931 in Arlington, WV, a son of the late Clark Sheridan and Tressie Samples Allman.
On September 19, 1951, he married Helen Allman who preceded him in death on February 2, 2014.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, John and Robert Allman and one sister, Carol Jean Hissam.
He is survived by his daughter, Lesa Crites and Vaughn Wolfe of Buckhannon; one grandson, Ricky Crites, Jr. and wife Katrina of Buckhannon; two brothers, Okey Allman and wife Helen of OH and Dale Allman and wife Charlotte of Huntington, WV; one sister, Dottie Bosley and husband Gale of Arlington and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Allman was an Air Traffic Controller, a Christian by faith and a loyal member of The Buckhannon Moose Lodge #598.
David served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 until he retired as a Sr. Master Sgt. in 1972.
There will be a private memorial graveside service held for both David and Helen Allman at a later date.
