Deceased Name: CHATSWORTH - Frank S. Albright

CHATSWORTH - Frank S. Albright, 87, a resident of Clark-Lindsey Village, Urbana, for the past two years, formerly of Chatsworth, died at 2 p.m. Saturday (July 9, 1994) at the village.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chatsworth United Methodist Church, the Rev. Brad Long officiating. Burial will be in Chatsworth Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Culkin-Diggle Funeral Home, Chatsworth.

He was born April 4, 1907, at Harrison, Ark., the son of Seymour T. and Ada Dell Farmer Albright. He married Alice Mae Harrington June 11, 1938, at Chatsworth. She died Jan. 30, 1992.

Surviving are three sons, John B., Germantown, Md.; William H., Ann Arbor, Mich.; and Richard E., Morristown, N.J.; two foster children, Rebecca Chayer, Marengo, and Dr. Robert Chayer, Milwaukee, Wis., who the Albrights raised since 1969; five grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Albright, Peoria.

One sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Albright received his bachelor's degree from Bradley University, Peoria, in 1928; his master's from the University of Illinois in 1938; and his doctorate in education from the University of Chicago in 1956. He worked several years for Avery Tractor Co. in Peoria and began a career in education as a teacher and public school administrator in Leland and Gary, Ind., and West Orange, N.J. He was professor of ecucation at the Culver-Stockton College at Canton, Mo. from 1968 to 1973 when he retired.
In 1973, he and his wife moved to Chatsworth. Mr. Albright was a member of Chatsworth United Methodist Church, the Wesley United Methodist Church in Urbana and the Chatsworth Lions Club.

Memorials may be made to the Chatsworth United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
