Betty Jean graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She worked for Dow Chemical in the shipping department in the 1950s.
She was a member of the Texas Association of Hospital Auxiliaries (Pink Ladies) at Brazosport Memorial Hospital for 30-plus years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferman Ainsworth, and son, Ferman (Tommy) Ainsworth Jr., her father, S.A. Griggers and mother and stepfather Era and Tandy Jackson.
Left behind to cherish Betty's memory are grandson, Tommy Ainsworth, wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Kayla and Trevor, all of Richwood; granddaughter, Ashley Ainsworth and husband, J.R., and their son, Trey George, of Galveston; and grandson, Ryan Ainsworth of Galveston.
