Carson, City, - Recitation of the rosary is scheduled for 7 pm today at the Walton's Chapel of the Valley for Charles Joseph Currier, 69, who died Wednesday in a Carson City hospital.

A native of Lawrence, Mass, he was born Sept 15, 1916, and had lived in Carson City for the past 13 years, coming from Concord, Calif.

Currier worked for the railroad, was a security guard at the Ormsby House and was a World War II Air Force veteran.

Surviving are his widow, Connie, and a daughter, Nancy Smith, both of Carson City; daughters Kathleen Dye of Sparks, Teresa Raike of Hayward, Calif., Virginia Thompson of Petaluma, Calif; son Joseph of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral is scheduled for 9 am Saturday at the funeral home, with cremation at the Sierra Crematorium, Reno.
