Elmo G. Niblo, 80, father of Sydney Niblo, president and chief executive officer of the 1st State Bank in Abilene, died Monday at his home. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Born in Dallas, he graduated in 1933 from the university of Missouri, where he lettered in football. He was an insurance agent in 1949 and had been an account executive with Alexander & Alexander since 1971. Active in the community, he held offices in many civic and professional organizations. He was a Methodist.
