Prime Minister Of England, 1783-1801, 1804-1806. Political prodigy, sone of Earl of Chatham (q.v.), who became Britain's youngest Prime Minister (aged 24). He played an important part in British politics throughout the period following the French Revolution. His last words were, according to some, 'My country! how I leave my country!'. According to others, they were 'I could do with one of Bellamy's veal pies'. (bio by: David Conway)
