HUDSON BRENNER COCOA BEACH Deeply loved, respected and admired, Retired U.S. Army Major, Hudson (Bud) David Brenner, born November 11, 1919, freed from the bonds of earth on Thursday, May 11, 2006. He joined his father, Leo; mother, Mae Julia Mahoney Brenner Holmstrom; sister, Henrietta Dorothea (Dori) Brenner Escribano and his only and deeply beloved wife of almost 60 years, Evelyn (Eve) R. Dasno Brenner. Bud reluctantly leaves his sis ter, Brita Holmstrom Flemming of Burlington, MA; brother-in- law, Jose Escribano of Delray Beach; daughter, Michele Brenner Salick and grandsons, Philip Salick and David Morgan; daughter, Patricia Brenner Valluzzi and granddaughters, Ariel and Autumn Valluzzi; and his son, Michael Patrick Brenner and grandson, Jason, all of Co coa Beach. Major Brenner gave his life in service to his country as a peacemaker in two compaigns, World War II and Korea; receiving multiple field promo tions and the Purple Heart, Iron Cross and Medal of Valor. Major Brenner retired from the Army in 1959 after 23 years of service, brought his family to Cocoa Beach when there were 2500 residents to take up the support of the space program, working as a tech writer for Boeing for 20 years, retiring again to Boca Raton, to work as a licensed condo manager, ultimately retiring here from all his la bors. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery with a celebration of his life to be held at the home of his daughter, Patricia, on Memorial Day, May 29, 2006, at 2 p.m., at 71 W. Bay Drive, Cocoa Beach. The famiy requests dona tions be made to the National Kidney Foundation in honor of Richard Salick whom he loved as a son. Beckman Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach is in charge of arrangements.
