He especially liked to work on cars. his first car was a Model T. Ford.
When he lived in R. I. during the war, he tried to get to his parents farm, once a month, 60 miles, one way or the other. Because gas was rationed, he sometimes had to ride there, in his motor scooter. usually with one of his children on the back.
He joined his brother Eugene, and his wife Hazel, in Detroit, Mi., and worked for Packard Motor Co., as a tool maker.
George was listed as a tool maker for an Auto Factory.
After his marriage, they lived in "The brick house", on Elm St., that his g-grandfather, Albert Clark's family owned in Upton, for 2 yrs. then Milford, Ma., to Jamestown, R. I., in 1935, and finally Newport, where he worked, as a machinest,
for the Naval Torpedo Station, in Newport, RI, for ten years, until World War 11 ended.
He then started an appliance business in Shrewsbury, Ma. He also sold Lawn equipment and television sets, etc.
