Funeral services were held June 16 at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Cushing for Floyd H. Cargill. He died June 13, 1986, in the Drumright Nursing Home.

Cargill was born April 17, 1911, in Harrison, Oklahoma, Sequoyah County. He and his wife, Pearl, were united in marriage on July 5, 1929, in Sallisaw, Ok., and moved to Drumright in 1934. Cargill had worked in the oilfields in the Drumright area until his retirement. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Cushing.

Officiating at his services were Frank Cargill, Armon Newburn, Phil Webb and John Grace. Serving as organist was Jo Ann Newburn with vocalists the Aldridge family and soloist LaVonna Ward. Pallbearers were his seven grandsons Larry and Terry McLaughlin; Ron, Randy and Russell Dyer and Tony and Andy Cargill.

Cargill is survived by his wife, Pearl, of the home; daughters Odessa Dyer of Drumright and Pat McLaughlin, Cushing; son Frank Cargill, Elk City, Ok.; brothers Clifford, Southgate, Michigan; Levoyd, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Frank Cargill, Taylor, Michigan; sisters Bertha Gooch, Lovington, New Mexico, and Myrtle Clark, Fisk, Missouri; seven grandsons, three great-grandsons and seven great-granddaughters.

Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Drumright, with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Don Smith Funeral Home, Drumright.
