East Lawn Memorial Park
Jean Bell, 74, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Sunday (June 22, 2008) at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a former resident of Hollywood, Fla., but had made her home in Kingsport for the past seven years. Jean attended Pleasant View Baptist Church, was a loyal Atlanta Braves fan, and was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her husband, James D. Bell; her parents, Roberta and Houston Conkin; one son, Mike Bell; one sister, Gladys Grissom; and her stepfather, Roy Harless.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Pica and husband, Carl of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sons, Richard Bell and wife, Becky of Hobe Sound, Fla., Tony Bell of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mark Bell of Newnan, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Page of Kingsport, Linda Johnston and husband, John of Hendersonville, N.C.; one brother, Kenny Conkin of Kingsport; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon today at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
