Carol Henry, daughter of William and Patricia Barber Farris was born April 4, 1976 in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-three years, ten months, and thirty days.

On August 5, 2000, Carol was united in marriage to Terry Henry and together they have shared the past seventeen years.

Carol was preceded in death by her brother, William "Baby Dale" Farris, one uncle, Mike Farris; her mother-in-law, Wilma Carol Henry; her maternal grandparents, Orville and Viona Barber; and Grandma Henry.

She is survived by her husband Terry of the home; three sons, Cody, Logan, and Tyler Henry all of the home; a daughter, Tifani Henry of Vidor, Texas; a granddaughter, Jynika Welch; her parents, Willie and Patty Farris of Mansfield, Missouri; two sisters, Karen Wallace and husband Jim, and April Henry and husband Ricky, all of Mansfield, Missouri; a brother, Joe Farris and wife Tracey of Mansfield, Missouri; her paternal grandmother, Irene Farris, of Mansfield, Missouri; a cousin, who was like a sister to her, Melissa Stacy and husband Ryan, of Mansfield, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and many dear friends.

Carol spent most of her life in the Mansfield area, and was a graduate of Mansfield High School in the Class of 1994, and began studying at Drury University, Ava Campus in 2007.

She worked as the manager of Lazy Lee's for ten years; and later operated the Little House Buffet for a while and most recently had opened the Lions Den Restaurant in Mansfield.

In her spare time, Carol enjoyed crocheting blankets and scarves, watching her boys play baseball, and going to barbecues with family and friends. She also liked to play pinochle and was a talented photographer.

Carol loved spending as much time as possible with her family and friends and was a devoted wife and mother, daughter, sister, and aunt.

We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Mansfield, Missouri.

Burial will be in Prairie Hollow Cemetery, Douglas County, Missouri.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield.
