MRS. J. T. BLAGG TAKEN BY DEATH; FUNERAL FRIDAY Mrs. James T. Blagg, 59, died at her home, 710 Frame Wednesday after an illness of about a year. Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm at Jack Schmitz and Sons Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Solomon Carpenter. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Born in Germany February 12, 1889, Mrs. Blagg came to the United States as a child and moved to Texas when about three years old. She had lived in Denton County for about 45 years. She and James T. Blagg were married in Denton, December 10, 1905. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving her are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Gaston Davis of Dallas, and Mrs. Fred Dutton of Denton; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Hein of Houston, Mrs. Natalia Luedke of Chilton and Mrs. Augusta Dykes of Telephone; a brother, Hugo Hefft of Eddy; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be O. C. Smith, David Mulkey, Clifford Mulkey, Sidney Brandenberger, Carl McGar and Gude Grissom, all of Denton. Denton Record Chronicle, March 5, 1948
