Harry Fromknecht, son of Mrs. Mary Abel Fromknecht and the late Michael Fromknecht, died in the late home, 2913 Pine Ave., early Tuesday morning. Mr. Fromknecht was born in Erie and was well known here.
He served with the A.E.F. in France and was in active service at Chateau Thiery at Aisne Manse, at Marlache, also at St. Michael and the Argonne and was discharged from active service on Aug. 13, 1919.
Besides his mother, he leaves the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Frank Althof, Mrs. Mathilda Murphy, Mrs. Amandeus Heubel, Bernard, Louis and Michael Fromknecht.
The funeral will be held in the late home at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, and at 9 a.m. in St. John's Catholic church. Military honors will be accorded him at the funeral, and interment will be in the family plot in Trinity cemetery.
