Michael Harold Boxley was the only son and child of Nathalie Eva Watkins-Boxley and Anthony Boxley. He was a grandson of Mary Agnes Doucette-Watkins-Thomas and Nathaniel Harold Watkins, of New Orleans, Louisiana.

He began his education in New Orleans, Louisiana, later moving to San Francisco, California at an early age. He graduated from San Francisco Polytechnic High School, and attended City College of San Francisco CCSF.

He was employed at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA, MUNI).

Michael passed away while on a fishing excursion as he dived into the surf endeavoring to prevent the drowning of his friend and fishing companion. Michael was seen by witnesses, diving into the Pacifica, California Bay as his friend shouted for help. The under-current and tide swept them both away. Neither Michael nor his friend's remains were ever found.

Michael was such an exceptional young man who would do anything to help someone, including risking his own life.

John 15:13 King James Version (KJV)
