Tom Hatcher, Jr., 80, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his sons, Charles "Bozzie" Hatcher (Nancy) of CT and Frederick "Freddie" Hatcher (Jatuania) of FL; a special grandson, Michael Hatcher of Laurinburg; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Evans Hatcher; his son, Tommy Hatcher, and his daughter, Linda "Boo" Hatcher. Born August 15, 1935 in Laurinburg, he was a son of the late Tom and Carrie Pace Hatcher, Sr. He served many years as an electrician at St. Andrews University and was a member of the Laurinburg Fire Department for over 20 years, and Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and wood working. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hatcher Family c/o McDougald Funeral Home & Crematorium, PO Box 187, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
