Funeral Service for Vern Giles Held Here Tuesday
Funeral services for Vern Giles, 57, who died Saturday in a Corpus Christi hospital, were held yesterday at Cage-Piper Funeral Chapel, with Rev. R. K. Heacock of the First Methodist Church of flating. Burial was in Chamberlain Cemetery .
Giles, a musician, came from Yoakum to make his home here 10 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ada Giles, of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Davis of San Antonio ; his mother, Mrs. Rose Giles of Yoakum; two sisters, Mrs. P. W. Shooll of Long Beach, Calif. And Miss Bernice Giles of Yoakum, and one brother, Bruce Giles also of Long Beach
