Harry Coleman Ragan was born to Martin Monroe Ragan and Elizabeth Hackney Ragan. He had 6 brothers: Johnny, Harold, James, Junior, Daniel, (Harry), Chester. He served 3 years in the Korean War on the Navy destroyer USS Brinkly Bass 1950-1953 and married Marilyn Joyce Travers July 23, 1954 in Elma, WA. They had 3 children: Harry Edward Ragan, Susan Marie Ragan Day, and Mary Elizabeth Ragan. Harry worked 22 years as a logging foreman for Weyerhauser. He and Marilyn divorced in 1974. Neither ever remarried. They had 4 grandchildren: Tina Marie Day, Daisy Alice Day-Croxford, Duane David Day, and Kyle Coleman Ragan. On April 10, 2000, 5 1/2 years after his death, Harry's first great grandchild, Victor Manuel Day, was born. On April 14, 2002 Victor was join by sister Linaya Marie Steehler Day and Kylah Ruth Goodwin on April 2, 2007. Harry's third great grandchild, Spencer Lloyd Croxford, was born to granddaughter Daisy, September 21, 2003. Spencer is now joined by sister Alexis Karen Croxford born October 11, 2005 and brother Ezra David Croxford born December 29, 2006. Harry loved red roses and Butterfinger candy bars. He loved country music, fishing and traveling. Daddy, you left us too soon. You are missed and thought of often.
