Jeff was the wife of John Otis Berg. She was the mother of two children, a son named Charles and a daughter named Lula Mae.

Jeff SIMMONS Berg was the daughter of Jefferson Simmons, Jr. (who died the same year she was born) and his second wife, Rebecca LAUNIUS Simmons.

Her father had been widowed and had four other children when he married Rebecca. Jefferson and Rebecca's union was blessed with two children, Jeff (named for her father) and her brother, Tom Simmons. And from her father's first marriage, she had four half siblings. They were Alfred "Alf" Simmons, Henry Simmons, William "Bill" Simmons, and, my grandmother, Hattie SIMMONS.

Jeff is buried near her husband, John, who preceded her in death in 1938.

She is much loved and missed by her son, daughter, grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
