Carroll W. Bowden Carroll W. Bowden, 89 died Thursday, Feb. 17 in a Corpus Christi hospital. He moved to Ingleside in 1934 where he was employed by Humble Pipeline Co. and lived there until the late 1950s. He was an active member of both the Ingleside United Methodist Church and First Methodist Church in Corpus Christi. He was also an active member of the Masonic Lodge, where he received a 50-year service pin, and was a member of the Exxon Annuity Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Bowden and son, (adopted) Peter H. Bowden, who was killed in the Korean War. Survivors include his sister, Vera Bowden Alford of Ingleside; his sister-in-law Laurie Bowden of Ingleside; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Ingleside United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Roberts and Rev. Lowell Ryan officiating. Burial followed at Prairie View Cemetery. (Aransas Pass) Expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to the Ingleside United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 688, Ingleside 78362. Pallbearers were Joe Allen Bowden, Frank Alford, Jr, John W. Casall, Jr. John Severin, Craig Hughes and Jim Orr III. Honorary pallbearers were Virgil Williams and Anderson Orr.
