two articles "Wonewoc Reporter" Feb 10, 1938 Mrs. John Blish While calling on her neighbor, Mrs. Anna Moll, Monday morning, Mrs. John Blish suffered a stroke. She was taken to her home across the street where she soon became unconscious and remained in that condition until she passed away early Tuesday evening. Although suffering with high blood pressure for some time, she had been as well as usual lately and her sudden passing came as a shock to her husband, who has been ill himself and is still not well. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2:00. and Feb 17, 1938 Mrs. John Blish passed to the higher life at her home in the village of Wonewoc Tuesday evening, February 8, at the age of 67 years, 6 months, and 16 days, after a brief illness of only two days.
Tillie Badenhop was born in the Town of Summit, July 23, 1870, and lived in that vicinity until 1913. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Badenhop Sr. of the Town of Summit. She was married to John Blish, October 25, 1913 and has resided in the village of Wonewoc ever since with the exception of two winters spent in Florida with her husband.
She was always ready to assist those in need and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, John Blish; one sister, Mary Drafahl of Janesville; on brother, Herman Badenhop of Janesville; one nephew, Glenn Badenhop, and two nieces, Celia and Mary Badenhop of Footville; one uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. Henry Clace of Cashton.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Wonewoc Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Melvina E Hostak, minister of the Second Spiritualist church of Minneapolis, officiating and a special service by the W. R. C. of which she was a member. transcribed by Susan Selchert Smith
