During high school, he played football with the Groveton Indians. Later, he was drafted to serve in the Army for four years during Vietnam though he was never shipped overseas due to his position as Military Policeman. However, he lost many friends including his best friend George many years later due to complications caused by Agent Orange.
David enjoyed fishing, hunting, birdwatching and reading (a lot). He was a really great cook and had a cheeky sense of humor. Friends and family will miss the sounds of his guitar, drifting across Bagwell Lake on warm summer evenings.
He is survived by his children Rachel and Jenni who now live in Australia, by his brothers Joe and John and by many other friends and family.
