Mrs. Johannah Anderson who for many years has been a resident of America, coming hereabout 1890, died at the home of her son Peter July 9, 1917 at the age of 81 years. She was born June 10, 1836 in Jonkoping, Sweden. Her husband proceeded her in death, having died in 1884.
To this union twelve children were born, eight of whom are still living , two died in infancy and two in young manhood. Mrs. Anderson was ill about a week with stomach and liver trouble.
Mrs. Anderson was a mother in all that the word applies, being devoted to her family, ministering unto them to the full measures of her strength. For a number of years she lived south of town with her sons Henry and Axel, and it was only last August that she came to make her home with her son Peter a little south and east of town.
The funeral was held today at the Swedish Lutheran church with Rev. Alfred Nelson presiding. There was a goodly attendance presence to pay a last tribute to one whom they had learned to love in life. The floral offerings were beautiful and a warm tribute to her devotion.
