PITTSTON TWP. Veronica H. (Sekerchak) Snopkowski, a former resident of Pittston Township, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre. She was born Nov. 29, 1916 in Swoyersville, daughter of the late Joseph Sekerchak and Mary (Lenhart) Sekerchak. Her husband was the late Adam B. Snopkowski. She graduated from Swoyersville High School. She was employed in the local garment industry by Valley Dress for a number of years. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Dupont. She was also a member of the Slovak organization Surviving are a son Richard and wife Jean Snopkowski, Randolph, N.J.; daughter Sandra Snopkowski, Pittston Township; grandchildren Michelle Carter, Belews Lake, N.C.; Michael Snopkowski, Philomath, Ore.; Susan Jones, Advance, N.C.; Aaron Swaim, Rockaway, N.J.; Landon Swaim, Succasunna, N.J.; five great-grandchildren; sister Olga Savage, Dallas. She was preceded in death by brothers Phillip Sekerchak, Joseph Sekerchak, John Sekerchak and sisters Mary Sekerchak and Margaret Griscavage. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Veronica's name to the Glaucoma Foundation, 80 Maiden Lane, Suite 700, New York, NY 10038 or online at Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., 700 S. Twp. Blvd, Pittston Township. Viewing hours will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church (Nativity of Our Lord Parish), Duryea, with the Rev.
