ANDREWS - Bishop C., 67, 401 Ebensburg Road, Johnstown, died at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 25, 1968, at Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 7, 1901, in Buena Vista, Ga., son of Rev. H.P. and Mattie (Haley) Andrews. Married Feb. 5, 1967, to Mrs. Essie Lee (Hart) Adams. Preceded in death by first wife, Mrs. Nettie Lee (Davis) Andrews, April 4, 1965. Survived by widow, mentioned; these children:James L., Robert C., Curtis, Mrs. Mattie Mae Smith and Nathaniel, all of Johnstown; Lawrence, Washington D.C.; Mrs. Dorothy Richardson, Panama Canal Zone; Bishop C. Jr., Mrs. Inez Jackson and Roscoe C., all of Detroit, Mich.; stepdaughter, Miss Delores M. Adams, Long Island, N.Y.; 37 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, H.P. Jr., Buffalo, N.Y., and Roscoe, Springfield, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Maudella Smith, Johnstown, and Mrs. Priscilla Johnson, Detroit, Mich. Pensioner of Gautier Division, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Past master of Conemaugh Valley Lodge 10, and member of Royal Arch Chapter 52, both Prince Hall affiliations, F. & A. M. Member of First Cambria AME Zion Church for 50 years. Vice chairman of board of trustees, class leader and member of Pastors Aid Club. Former Sunday school teacher for many years. Friends received after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gordon Mortuary. Service at 1 p.m. Monday at First Cambria AME Zion Church, the Rev. W.M. Cunningham officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. Memorial service by Conemuagh Valley Lodge 10, F. & A.M., at 8 p.m. Saturday at mortuary.
