ST. JACOB, ILL. — ANDES – Lois H., 91, St. Jacob, Ill., died April 11, 2013. Born April 1, 1922, in South Fork, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Berkey) Helsel. She married Kenneth Andes Oct. 5, 1978. He survives. Survived by children, grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Phillips. Mrs. Andes was a florist. She also worked in administration for the Virginia State Police. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star chapter in Chesterfield, Va. According to her wishes, her remains were cremated and her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, at Westover Hills United Methodist Church, 1705 Westover Hills Blvd., Richmond, Va., 23225. Burial of her ashes will be at Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Midland, Va. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or TIP Hospice. Kalmer Memorial Services, Lebanon, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
