Archie Roderick Brown, age 90, of Gordo, died June 11, 2014, at Pickens Co. Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Burns, Rev. Damon Rose and Rev. Michael Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to and immediately following the service at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene Brown, Cebron Brown and Price Brown; and sisters, Doris Sellers, Bertha McGee, Ellen Turnipseed and Daisy Goodman.Survivors include his wife, Billie Sue Brown; daughter, Marilyn Anderson (Mitchell); son, Milton Brown (Dot); granddaughter, Tanya; two great-grandchildren, Cody and Tori; great-great-grandchildren, Dakota and Justin; step grandchildren, Sharon (Bunky) and Michael (Kim); step great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Gracie, Jack, Seth, John and Albert.Mr. Brown was born April 30, 1924 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Milton Brown and Pinkie Burkhalter Brown. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Gordo, a retired employee of B. F. Goodrich and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.Pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Gary Anderson, Albert McGee, Ricky Brown, Cody Shirley and Berry McGee.Honorary pallbearers are Jim Hudson, James Falls and Amedisys Home Health
