John Dodge who is missing
Man mysteriously disappears from home of Daughter
John Dodge, disappeared from the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. h. Burkhart of 509 South St Clair Street on Tuesday afternoon and has not been seen since
Mr. Dodge who is 76 years old, is reported to have left the Burkhart home on Tuesday afternoon at 1 oclock supposedly to take a walk in the south end of town, He did not return
Lake county authorities were notified and with members of the family have searched for the missing man. It was reported that he was seen at Stockwell Street Tuesday night. This report could not be confirmed however.
The missing man is described as been six foot, two inches tall of heavy build and having a bandage on one side of his face. He wore blue serge coat brown cap and rubber boots.
Anyone having seen or seeing the man is to requested to notify Mrs. Burkhart.

John Dodge, aged 76 is found dead
Missing man died of exposure, coroner says,
The body of John Dodge, 76, of 509 south street, who has been missing from the home of his daughter, Mrs. S.H. Burkhart, since feb 25th was found Friday afternoon in a pasture on the Fenwick farm in Clairdon Township.
Joe and James Fenwick discovered the body while cutting wood in the pasture yesterday afternoon at 3 oclock. The aged man apparently had stopped in the pasture to rest. The body was found in a sitting Position on a tree stump.
Geauga County Corner Phillip Pease pronounced death due to exposure.
Mr. Dodge left the home of his daughter on the afternoon of Feb 25, saying he was going to take a walk in the south end of town. He did not return home and no trace of him was found until Discovery of his body on the Claridon farm on Friday aftrrnoon.
It is believe that Mr. Dodge wandered south to the point where his body was discovered, a distance of 13 miles from Paineville.
Severl parties of Lake county officials, friends, citizens and Boy Scouts had conducted extensive searche for MR Dodge, but to no avail.
Mr. Dodge is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Burkhart a son ? Dodge; three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held at 4 oclock this afternoon at the Rogers funeral parlors, south street. Interment will be in the Mentor Cemetery.
