Reuben is the son of Eliza Mulvaney (multiple spellings) and James A Bailey born in Boulder Montana.

Funeral services for Reuben B. Bailey, a world war veteran who died at his home near Clayton last week, were held there on Tuesday, in charge of local Legionnaires and a group of enlisted soldiers from Fort George Wright. Mrs. Gus Olson officiated, and a military service was held was held at graveside in the Trysil cemetery. The deceased was 45 years old and is survived by his widow and eight children. He was badly gassed in France and tuberculosis resulted.
