Born in Providence Catherine was the daughter of the late Alfred and Palmina (Sbardella) DiOrio. She was from a large family with eight brothers and sisters. She lived in Providence throughout her youth and married life, until she and her husband moved to North Providence for the remainder of her life.
Catherine will be long remembered for her tireless devotion to her husband, Emilio to whom she was married 57 years. She was also loving and devoted to her extended family, friends and neighbors. She retired as a supervisor from Vargas Manufacturing.

She is survived by her husband, Emilio Accetturo, four brothers, Alfred DiOrio, Jr., David DiOrio, Edward DiOrio and Ronald DiOrio, four predeceased siblings Richard DiOrio, Louie DiOrio, Catherine DiOrio and Connie Folcarelli and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
