Mr. Tyler was born july 28, 1886 in Garnet, Kansas. His parents and family later moved to the Ozark Mountains where the family was brought up. His father died when the children were small and that left the older boys to try to help their mother make a living and raise the family. He worked for farms close by and was a self taught carpenter and a sheep shearer by trade. Bob met Sage Collins in Omaha, Nebraska where they sheared sheep. Thus he came to Wyoming and homesteaded in the Spotted Horse area. His U.S. patent was issued December of 1927 in Section 24, Township 55, Range 75. He had one daughter, Dorothy by a former marriage. Later, she married and bore him two grandchildren. Bob married Josephine Collins on September 15, 1934 in Hardin, Montana. They lived on the ranch on Wild Horse until 1944, when the ranch was sold and they moved to Sheridan, Wyoming. Bob continued his work as a carpenter, working many years for the Kendrick Cattle Company. He was a kind and honorable man and was well liked by all who knew him. He died on October 20, 1960 at Sheridan, Wyoming and is buried in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. -Bio provided by Evelyn Malli-
