Mrs. Thelma Mae Fowler Hardee, age 93, of the Glendale community, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Loris Rehab and Nursing Center following an illness. Born on October 29, 1922 in Tabor City, NC, she was the daughter of the late Asberry and Quillie Fowler. Mrs. Hardee was a homemaker and a longtime member of Glendale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Troy Drue Hardee and wife, Janice of Loris, SC and Brooks Ervin Hardee and wife, Jo, of Monroe, GA; daughter, Joyce Hardee Stephens of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Kathleen Suggs of Tabor City, NC; one brother, M.C. Fowler and wife, Nilda of Loris, SC; one brother-in-law, C.B. Hardee and wife, Jean, of Florence, SC; one sister-in-law, Juanice Fowler of Tabor City, NC; eight loving grandchildren, Chris Stephens of Wilmington, NC, Warren Stephens of Chapel Hill, NC, Andrew Hardee and John Hardee of Tabor City, NC, Stephen Hardee and Bradley Hardee of Loris, SC; fourteen great-grandchildren and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardee was predeceased by her husband, Reverend Drue Hardee; one brother, Reverend Glen Fowler; two sisters, Beulah Cox and Aline Gerald and her son-in-law, Rex Stephens.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Fred Holmes officiating. Committal services will follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at Hardwick Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Glendale Baptist Church, 950 Hwy. 747, Loris, SC 29569.
