Charles was born Nov 10, 1870, the second-born of Alfred Leaman and Catherine Loeb (Lape) Leaman. Some time prior to 1900 his surname was changed to Lehman as had also occurred to other members of his family. He was a puddler at the Lebanon Steel foundary as were several others of his family. His siblings were Harry Leaman, Robert Leaman, Lucinda Lillian Leaman Von Hoffe Platt, Sarah M Leaman Abraham and Adam S Leaman. He married Lizzie Schwenk on Feb 10, 1900 and they had children Herman (May 1892), Roy (Dec 1893), Lucy (Nov? 1894), Charles (1898?), Catherine Esther (1905?), Marlin O. (1907?) and Mildred (1915?), and Paul M. Lehman (1919), also buried in Ebenezer with no marker. He died July 19, 1920 after suffering from Endocolitis. His death certificate shows he was buried in Ebenezer cemetery, but no marker is found and the record-keeper of the cemetery can find no documentation for him. Three others of his extended family died and were buried prior to him in Ebenezer cemetery in two different 8-plot parcels. Each parcel has an unnamed, unmarked family member, and so it is likely he is one of the anonymous buried in either of the parcels. God rest his soul.
