DENNIS Donald W. Belles, 83, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Dennis, Massachusetts, was called home by his heavenly Father on Feb. 28, 2013, at Cape Cod Hospital after a sudden illness surrounded by family.

Born in McKeesport, Pa., to George and Mary (Conley) Belles, he was first and foremost a servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He married his childhood sweetheart, Betty Lou (Clarke) and devoted himself to her and their family for 63 years. After serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, they moved to Connecticut where he was employed as a purchasing manager for United Nuclear in New Haven. They later moved to Simsbury, Conn., where he was employed by Hartford Special Machinery. Cape Cod was his home for the last 30 years where he owned the Dun Wandering Motel and then became property manager for the condominium association after the condominium conversion. In 1992, he co-founded Towne and Country Mortgage Services Inc. with his son where he was still serving as president.

Don leaves his beloved wife Betty, their daughter Donna and her husband David Farrell of Simsbury, Conn., their son Jack and Ellen Belles of Lincoln, R.I, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. He also leaves his sister Norma and her husband William Wood of Pennsylvania, his sister-in-law Cindy Belles of North Carolina and was predeceased by his brother James Belles.

He was a member of Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church of Brewster where he served as elder and deacon. He was deeply saddened by the recent loss of the church building due to arson.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 209 Upper County Road, South Dennis. A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Cod Bible Alliance Building Fund, 3600 Main St., Brewster, MA 02631.
